7 1/2 hours...This isn't the complete piece, but it IS what I could fit on the scanner at school (since mine's broken). Also, the size is small because I had to fit it on a disc to get it home to upload it. ^^;

This is a portfolio piece inspired by the Ok Go song Return.

Return-

Now its years since your body went flat and even memories of that
are all think and dull, all gravel and glass. But who needs them
now -- displaced they're easily more safe --
the worst of it now: I can't remember your face.

Return.

For a while, with the vertigo cured, we were alive -- we were
pure.
The void took the shape of all that you were, but years take
their toll,
and things get bent into shape...
Antiseptic and tired, I can't remember your face.

Return.

You were supposed to grow old. Reckless, unfrightened, and old,
you were supposed to grow old.

Return. You were supposed to return.

Neat. I really like the light style of pencil shading, especially on that heart there. It looks very old-fashined somehow, which just adds to the whole piece.

..... I don't know WHY, but I love the visible part of her neck/spine/vertebrae/whatever it is that I'm talking about. This has such an eerie, but gorgeous feel to it.

the hair looks so great, and so do the crinkled leaves! i love how the wind is blowing through her hair!
and the outline of the heart, was clever! ;-)
